Andréa van der Meel is a seasoned retailer with 15 years of experience in the fashion retail sector. As a hard-core environmentalist, Andréa was sold on the idea of bringing transparency to the purpose (or lack thereof) of businesses for the benefit of consumers.
During her time on the frontline and behind the scenes, Andréa witnessed the frequent mismatch between what and how much brands were producing, and what consumers actually wanted. This drove her to create her own product feedback platform for retailers, SeekStock.
This disconnect is also a driving force behind All Things Considered, this time focusing the conversation on sustainability and ethics. Andréa and her co-founder, John, saw the demand for a fully transparent platform where consumers could have their say, while equally celebrating the brands slaying their sustainability.
An avid outfit-repeater, Andréa is dedicated to increasing transparency and accountability in the fashion industry. She lives and breathes the slow fashion movement, maintaining an 80% preloved wardrobe, and is passionately building a community of considerate consumers.
