Caito Maia started to get involved with glasses in the late 90’s, when he went to the United States to study music. To top up the budget, he sold glasses he bought in California to friends. Upon returning to Brazil, he began to sell eyewear wholesale to be distributed in multi-brand stores.

In 1997, deciding to invest in his own brand, he launched the first Chilli Beans store in São Paulo. From this small store, he transformed the brand into the largest sunglasses company in Latin America, present in more than 970 points of sale in Brazil and worldwide.

Despite the growth of the business, Caito remains close to the team, making a point of participating in everything that happens in the company. In addition to running Chilli Beans and Ótica Chilli Beans, he participates in the Shark Tank Brasil program and gives lectures across the country, where he seeks to motivate and inspire entrepreneurs and everyone who pursues their dreams.
