Established in Dubai in 2001, Rami Al Ali Couture entered the fashion arena with bold creations and uncompromising couture designs. His fondness of the city led him to station his headquarters and atelier there and form Dubai as his launch pad for international notability. He entered into a number of inspiring fashion shows around the Gulf, increasing his popularity and occupying the pages of leading fashion publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Business of Fashion. The success of the brand continued and garnered attention from global brands such as Swarovski, when Al Ali was selected to be part of Unbridaled, a book published by the global Austrian crystal brand, with revered couture veterans Giorgio Armani, Vivian Westwood and John Galliano, amongst others. In 2006 Al Ali was asked by La Mode En Images to be part of the Asian Games opening ceremony in Qatar. Further in his career, the house collaborated with many notable artists, such as the architect Viktor Udzenija designing an installation in Dubai Design District, as well with brands such as Jewelry designer Nadine Kanso, international high street giant Charles & Keith, the private airline Royal Jet, and fine jewellery brands Bulgari, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and Messika and most recently with EXPO 2020. Al Ali’s ultimate breakthrough came in 2009, when he was invited as a guest member of Alta Moda Alta Roma, showing his Spring-Summer Couture collection on the official couture week calendar. This further strengthened relationships with the European fashion media and his success was reaffirmed when The Middle East Magazine named him as one of the top 50 most influential Arabs. In January 2012, Al Ali debuted at Couture Fashion Week in Paris, showcasing his Spring-Summer 2012 collection. With a series of collections, Al Ali has successfully built and maintained a brand that exhibits unique craftsmanship and a vision of creativity.
Following the demand of his clients, Rami Al Ali then incorporated Bridal collections and ready-to-wear lines to his portfolio. To address the shift in the fashion industry in 2020, the designer launched Rami Al Ali White. The collection is an annual edition of ready-to-wear evening and bridal designs that prioritize longevity and condemns overproduction. Today, Al Ali’s designs are synonymous with creative artistry, modern elegance and sought-after socialites and international celebrities including Aishwarya Rai, Beyoncé Knowles, Chanel Iman, Eva Longoria, Googoosh, Helen Mirren, Nawal Al Kuwaitia, Isabeli Fontana, Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Rowland, Kerry Washington, Carrie Underwood, Naomi Campbell and Youssra, amongst others.
