Taylor Stewart is a people-first journalist with a passion for telling stories that connect people and inspire new ideas. She joined South Florida’s news leader, WSVN as a general assignment reporter in July 2021. Previously, Taylor worked as a morning reporter and fill-in anchor at WLOS in Asheville, North Carolina.
Her on-air career began in Chattanooga, Tennessee at WTVC, where Taylor hit the ground running as a one-woman band – shooting, editing, and presenting stories on air. There, she earned two Associated Press awards for her reporting on police use-of-force policies, particularly the use of chokehold.
Taylor’s love for journalism began behind the scenes as a production assistant for NBC at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and as an intern for Dateline NBC in New York. In college, Taylor split her time between class and internships at WSB-TV and CNN in Atlanta. The proud Spelman College alumna has a degree in psychology, with a concentration in neuroscience.
