Tomás Vera Gutierrez de Piñeres – Barranquilla, 1985.
Tomás was born in Barranquilla, Colombia in 1985. He started a career at Bogota’s renowned business school, CESA, to later spend a few years in Barranquilla and finally major in Business in London and Barcelona.
Even if he had a more business-focused academic approach, his heightened creativity, passed on to him by his late father, Latin-American textile pioneer Carlos Vera Dieppa, has always run through his veins and was what inspired the creation of this legacy-driven textile studio, VERDI.
Today, as founder and Creative Director at VERDI, Tomás leads a team of more than 50 people and continues to strive for a brand that rescues ancestral know-how and reinterprets traditions through innovative, sustainable design.
