During this NYFW we’re presenting over 20 companies and brands we support. All of them, have values on their core making sure to create products that make sense for the times we live in. And, now, It’s time for round 4. 

Before we introduce other amazing brands we support, let’s go around what happened yesterday at NYFW.

Keeping An Eye For The Up-and-Coming Talents

Fashion weeks don’t only mean elevating leaders and renowned names in the industry. There are different talents out there, paving their way and showing a lot of talent. Harper’s Bazaar did an interesting article on 11 New Yorker designers who are breaking the patterns at NYFW.

The team has a strong line up: Taymour, Rogers, and their fellow designers— Theophilio’s Edvin Thompson, A. Potts’s Aaron Potts, Bode’s Emily Adams Bode Aujla, Puppets and Puppets’s Carly Mark, Sukeina’s Omar Salam, LaQuan Smith, Jonathan Cohen, Peter Do, and Khaite’s Catherine Holstein. With all ages and backgrounds, these artists have been showing that they are the future of the industry. 

Street Wear: A Show Outside Runways

Some of the most anticipated moments of New York Fashion Week are the clothes that influencers, guests and fashionistas wear on the streets. That means famous street style. It gives rise to many trends and ideas applied by fashion lovers throughout the year – until the next edition, of course.

We are only on day 4 but some of the biggest and most expected fashion shows have already happened – or will take place in these last days. Harper’s Bazaar did an amazing list with the best moments from yesterday. From Tory Burch belts to Dion Lee’s cast, they shared an overview of the catwalks’ looks as well as the guests’ and designers’ last moves.

Kifle pods

Jordan Jardena Kifle created KiflePods, an American-German tech startup. The KiflePods are a new series of headphone covers that are stylish, colorful and cozy. The luxurious Winter edition “Patrons by KiflePods” keeps the user’s ears warm and cozy while they can listen to music with the same quality as always.

It’s crucial for them to include the communities that inspire them. That’s why the company produces all KiflePods’ models in Harlem and the Bronx (NY) as well as Slovenia. Then assuring absolute transparency and fair working conditions as the Brands We Support with the production sites together.

Furthermore, they aim to source recycled fabrics or scraps that enable us to design limited editions and try new innovative ways to improve user experience and freedom. Every pair of KiflePods comes with a tiny laundry bag as packaging which one can use to wash and transport our innovative headphone covers. 

HUMAN INTONATION

Human Intonation

Inspired by Verneda Adele White’s 2x award-winning article. The “I Experienced Systemic Racism At One of America’s Most Prestigious Magazines” was published in October 2020. HUMAN INTONATION is the work of America’s Hot Sauce. It has the goal to actively advocate and cultivate progress in the movement towards racial equity; especially holding fashion and media brands accountable for the equitable use and compensation of Black creatives. 

The brand is committed to ensuring the Black community is equipped and empowered. Also to realize the monetary impact of their creative and cultural contributions in the US and worldwide. As quoted, “Black people are the definitive ‘hot sauce’ on an otherwise bland white America”.

India Blake Designs

India Blake

Effortless beauty through nature swimwear designed with a higher purpose to create moments of inspired joy. Bold designs start with an artist and a passion. India Blake has always had a love affair with the ocean. She gets her inspiration from vivid and vibrant colors. Also from the intricate shapes and textures and the fluid and graceful movements of waves and marine life. She uses her designs as a creative way to reflect this wondrous habitat while bringing attention to our role in preserving and protecting it.

The sea inspired the Samuda collection. Every piece is thoughtfully designed to bring greater awareness to its captivating beauty and the importance that it holds in the world’s vastly interconnected ecosystem – reminding us all of the need to take care of it, ourselves, and others. 

Matador Meggings

Matador Meggings 1

Inspired by a hyper-masculine yet emotional figure, Matador Meggings is a performance apparel brand that is functional, fun, and fashionable. Even though “athleisure” is a concept born in the last decade, Matadors are an example of this concept bringing sophistication and elegance to athletic wear.
