In this panel, Sofia Guellaty, Founder & Editor-in-chief of Mille World moderated the panel bringing three other powerful voices to enrich the discussion. Tania Fares, Co-Founder & Co-Chair of Fashion Trust Arabia; Andrea Wazen, Founder & Creative Director of Andrea Wazen Footwear, and Hassan Pierre, CEO & Co-Founder of MAISON DE MODE. They talked about how Saudi Arabia’s market is growing and how it’s slowly becoming a Fashion Exporter, instituted of just an importer, as historically they were. Winner of Fashion Trust Arabia Prize 2020 – Accessories. Born in London and raised in Beirut, Andrea Wazen is a fashion designer, graduated from Istituto Marangoni, where she discovered and refined her shoe-designing skills.
Tania Fares is the founder and co-chair of Fashion Trust, a non-profit initiative dedicated to finding, funding and mentoring young design talent. She first launched her initiatives in 2011, when she created the UK’s BFC Fashion Trust, which she headed for 10 years.
