Ivan Poupyrev, Director of Engineering at Google Inc. and Technical Project Lead at Google ATAP, Paul Dillinger, VP of Global Product Innovation at LEVI’S and Michael Ferraro, Executive Director at FIT/ Infor DTech Lab got together for a conversation about the Future of FashionTech and Disruptive Fashion | Advanced Technology. “So we’re actually seeing a partnership between two huge companies, Google and Levi’s. Why did you think this would be a beneficial partnership?” “Well, both companies are leaders in innovation. So Levi’s is innovation in apparel. They invented the blue jeans and Google is obviously innovation, leading in technology. […] we’re trying to invent or create a new category of products, which is connected garments, intelligent garments.”

He is responsible for Industry Partnerships and Collaborative Programs at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC and serves as the Creative Director for its Innovation Center. The DTech Lab is a bridge between Industry and Academia. Its mission is to engage faculty and students in solving industry problems using design and technology.
