Oscar Lopez is the Fashion Department Chair for the Miami International University of Art & Design School System. Former Regional Director and current Board Member for The Fashion Group International of South Florida. As Regional Director, executed high-profile events bringing well-known industry leaders to Miami, including Jonathan Adler, Ken Downing, and J. David Scheiner. In 2019, FGI South Florida received the National Programming Merit Award under his leadership.

Mr. Lopez is now part of the Diversity and Inclusion committee with FGI New York alongside FGI President, Chairman of the Board, Senior Vice President of Human Resources for L’Oréal, and Former VP and Fashion Director for Saks Fifth Avenue. Before his career in academia, he worked professionally in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition for Saks Fifth Avenue Corporate Office as the National Talent Acquisition and Planning Manager supporting the South Florida Market. Mr. Lopez is completing his second master’s degree in Fashion Management at the New School – Parsons School of Design.
