But, before diving into this final list, let’s take a look at what happened yesterday at NYFW. Shall we?
NYFW: Sustainability and Inclusivity paraded at catwalks
Today is the last day of NYFW and we could see a lot of excitement on the streets and runways of the Big Apple. Some of the most expected fashion shows happened yesterday.
Bibhu Mohapatra brought artistic creations to the catwalks, in addition to, of course, his ready-to-wear collection. With colorful outfits and patent leather, the designer brought to the catwalk only people with color. He highlighted the Indian skills of workers in his home country. Also, without leaving behind his values, Mohapatra kept advocating for women’s rights and inclusivity.
Gabriel Hearst also brought her designs to the spotlight yesterday. Her collection was a mix of androgyny, with colors and prints. The designer did not put aside her defense of sustainable fashion. Her show brought pieces that prove that combining fashion trends with ecological awareness is possible.
